This series of works aren’t so much a series of paintings as a series of painted 12″ x12″ x1.5″ cubes painted with cabuchons pasted on.
They were fun to do and I think they’d be fun to have around a home or, in a larger version, in a club or restaurant. I like that the skulls are not menacing but have different characters – after so many years using the Tarot, which involves the Death card which is about transformation, I just can’t see skulls as baleful.
